Research Interests:
My background is in the social interactions between bacteria and the impact of these interactions on pathogen virulence. Most of my past work has been theory and mathematical modeling, and I am now doing experiments and working with big data. About Dan: I grew up in Los Alamos, NM and Houston, TX. I attended the University of Texas at Austin for my undergraduate degree in math. After that I did my graduate work in evolutionary biology in the UK– the first two years at the University of Oxford and the second two at the University of Edinburgh. I then began working in the Whiteley lab. |
