Opportunities:
Postdoctoral Fellow The Whiteley Lab is seeking to recruit an outstanding PhD scientist to join the lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will have research independence to choose their own project. In the Whiteley Lab, we are interested in the social lives of microbes in their in situ environments. We use new technologies combined with classical genetic techniques and high-throughput sequencing to address questions about microbial physiology, ecology, virulence, and evolution. While we have primarily focused on human-associated microbes, opportunities are available for studying other host-microbe systems. The lab is located at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and we are affiliated with the Center for Microbial Dynamics and Infection and the School of Biological Sciences, as well as the Emory-Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Center. To Apply: Please submit CV and a two page research statement which includes (a) Current & Prior Research; (b) Project Proposal Summary to be done in the Whiteley lab; (c) and a Training and Professional Development plan to Brandy Olmer at [email protected]. |
